Global warming

Whatever you think of global warming and its root cause the fact is that it is getting warmer.

Global warming is melting glaciers in every region of the world putting millions of people at risk from floods, droughts and lack of drinking water.

Rising sea levels will contribute to the decline in corals which need light to survive. Organic pollutants such as PCBs and DDT which have been condensed over, and deposited onto, glacial ice is being released as the ice melts. These are long-lived contaminants and still hazardous.
