In a photograph a diver provides a sense of scale and at the same time adds a ‘human touch’ and when a diver is actually doing something underwater it helps to convey a sense of purpose and perhaps helps to remind us that we are only mere visitors to this, still as yet, relatively unexplored world.
I probably take quite a few diver photos towards the end of a dive when we are getting a little bored during our safety stops.
Working with diver models is quite new to me so there’s still a long way to go for me to get the best out of these sorts of shots.
