More than just aesthetic, colour plays a key role in our lives. Colours affect our moods. For example reds can stimulate while blue tones can calm and when carefully used in advertising, they can even influence our decision to purchase one product instead of another.
Colour in the animal and plant kingdoms is every bit as vital. Green represents life, it is the colour of chlorophyll which enables plants to photosynthesise a process which sustains life on the planet while, in the animal kingdom, colours are used between same or different species to communicate mood, courtship, warning, mimicry or as camouflage.
